~Story~

Raptain and Fishlegs, both very proud dires. Each worth their weight in Salt and willing to go to any lengths to prove themselves in their trails that would take place for their Arms of Akna. Knowing they were not only competing against one another but against themselves as well these two testosterone filled males were ready to leap into action. It was only to both their delights when they discovered they would be fishing to get the highest amount of fish.

Fishlegs, by his very name, was determined to Raptain. Upon arriving at the cite they were set to do the fishing in the big, brown boy bounced right into the water with a huge splash. Raptain, son of Fish's friends, was a little put off by the fact that Fishlegs wasn't incredibly impressed by his own natural grace and poise. Instead of plopping like a cannonball into the icy depths Raptain broke the surface with the most beautiful of dives. All of which was lost upon the fluffy Fishlegs, who was already giving chase to many sleek little fishies darting around in the underwater world.

Not to be outdone Raptain quickly set the pace, catching two small fish in one large clamp of his jaws. Careful NOT to eat even a single morsel he made his way back to the surface, depositing his catch into the waiting bucket only to return to the freezing depths seconds later. Continuing on like this for a good while until something caught Raptain's eye, and it had apparently also caught the eye of Fishlegs for there he was zooming after it with powerful paw strokes.

It was the biggest salmon Raptain had ever seen.

Determined to be the one to catch it he set off jaws right after Fishlegs as they both gave chase, glares and all thrown through the water at each other as Raptain bumped Fishlegs out of the way. Only to be shoved right back and sent spinning a little off course. But not set off for long he saw the salmon take a swift turn and with a lunge he snapped it tight in his jaws. Nearly colliding face to face with Fishlegs Raptain's eyes narrowed and with a burst a bubbles set for the surface. With Fishlegs hard on his tail Raptain broke the surface with such speed he seemed to float in the air a moment before crashing down on the icy surface, winded and dropping the fish it slid a few feet from Raptain. Followed seconds later by Fishlegs Raptain was unlucky enough to have the large brown crash down on his back, once again knocking the wind from the curly dire.

Fishlegs caught sight of the salmon right away, and with a quick struggle managed to grab a hold of it with his massive paws. Barely holding on as Raptain struggled to get up they both let out angry barks at each other. This salmon was THEIRS.
